I found this definition of a fashionista at urbandictionary.com:
"A person devoted to fashion clothing, particularly unique or high fashion. A person not to be called a fashionista would be someone who obsessively follows trends. REAL fashionistas do not believe in trends..."
Since I love fashion - but am not so into trends, I thought this the best way to describe how I feel about fashion.
